Who can resist the triple goodness of a Neapolitan dessert? Whether it is ice cream, coconut candy, or cookies? In this case, cake!
Just as the outside matches the Neapolitan them, so does the inside with chocolate fudge, strawberry and white almond sour cream layers.
An elegant rose swirl takes this fun dessert up the ladder of sophistication.

Mother's Day Cakes
Today is the day to celebrate mom's world wide (or at least here in America). I made these cakes for my mom and my mother-in-law.
For my mom, whose favorite flower is the pansy, I created pansies in shades of purple and yellow. I placed those on top of a pink champagne cake decorated with scrolls.
For my mother-in-law, whose favorite flower is the peony, I made two peonies in pink. They were placed on a pink lemonade cake.
Both cakes were a hit with these wonderful ladies.
